"Burr its cold out there"
It is a great time to trim and even remove any trees you have on your todo list. In the cooler months trees are dormant and when we cut live limbs the tree has less obstacles to overcome opposed to tree trimming in the warmer months.
When we prune in the cold your trees require less water intake which is beneficial to the sealing of the fresh cuts and this gives your tree more time to essentially scab over the exposed cut creating protection.
Another benefit is that there is less chance of an airborne disease affecting the trees freshly made cut causing the tree to become stressed or diseased.
Harder ground and grass being dormant makes it great for the use of equipment while trimming or removing a trees.
Many hardwood trees like Oaks and Hickory only can be done in the cooler months. Get ahead of schedule with us and get ready for your landscaping projects in the spring.
